We had a great experience here. Pick up to and from the airport was very convenient. Check in was easy. The apartment is in a great location with a wonderful view. Apartment was very clean with everything we needed. Kylie T. October 2015
We really enjoyed our stay here, finding that the apartment was very clean and well supplied as well as comfortable. The bed is great! We slept better here than at anywhere else on our 3 week trip. We loved that the host provided local limoncello and brandy as well as chocolates, a very thoughtful and welcoming touch. The unit is compact (in our view suitable for two at most, or two plus a baby) but has everything one needs, including a useful washing machine. The hot tub was a big plus, with great views, though it didn't get quite as hot as we would've liked (we could've asked for advice but didn't bother). The location is great and walkable. Lapad is perfectly situated, lovely and safe. The walk to local facilities is short and downhill (don't stay here if you dislike walking up hills). We got good advice about where to eat and drink from the hosts. Spectacular views and a charming garden complete with tortoises. Loved it!! Dale H. June 2015
“Absolutely Amazing!” We stayed at the apartment on our honeymoon at the beginning of May and it was absolutely perfect for us. Unlike most holiday apartments this really felt like going from home to home as there were so many nice little touches both inside and out. The owners left us a bottle of Prosecco and some chocolates on arrival with it being our honeymoon. The apartment would comfortably sleep 4 and has a lovely living room, diner/kitchen and bathroom. What was probably most impressive was the balcony which overlooked Lapad Bay. The balcony housed the most amazing hot tub and there was also another terrace with sun loungers on it. The management company who were responsible for the property were a pleasure to deal with and so helpful. They arranged our return transfers to the airport and also helped us out with some excursions.
In terms of location it was great for us. It was about a 30 minute walk or 10 minute bus journey into the centre of Dubrovnik. I wouldn’t be put off by this at all as the buses ran every 20 mins from 7am until midnight and were cheap. Plus by staying a little further out it means you get to see more. The Lapad bay area was lovely and less touristy than the centre of Dubrovnik. Access to the apartment is up either quite a steep hill or a lot of steps which was fine for us but may not be the best for less mobile people.
In terms of things to do I would recommend doing the 3 island trip and we also did a half day wine tasting tour in Bosnia which was great. There is a hotel in the Lapad Bay area called Hotel More which has a bar which is built into the caves – well worth a visit. We also ate at a restaurant nearby to the apartment called Pantarul which is rated number 1 on trip advisor and was lovely.
We couldn’t have had a better stay and we already plan to back and take friends with us! Sarah D. May 2015
